FAQ
Good questions.
Do I need headphones?
For recordings, yes. Otherwise the microphone picks up the instrument along with your voice. Just playing works fine on speakers.
Are my recordings uploaded?
No. Recordings stay on your device. A video only leaves it when you share it yourself, for example to TikTok or Instagram.
Does the camera send anything to a server?
No. Hand tracking, face masks and voice processing run on your device. No camera images, hand points or voice recordings go to us or anyone else.
Do I need to know music?
No. Your fingers choose chords that fit the key, so it sounds right from the first try. Song mode shows you every next chord.
Do I need an account?
Not to play, record or share. An account is only needed to use a purchase on iPhone and the web, to request songs and for the newsletter.
Can I play left handed?
Yes. One setting swaps the roles of your hands.
Which devices will it run on?
iPhone, and current browsers on a computer with a camera. We will publish the exact requirements at launch.
